Hearing and following God seems so simple, but in real life it is a complicated process. This is especially true when we try to listen and follow as a group. One of the things I love most about Baptist ministry is our realization that God made us each as unique individuals, and has special plans for each of us. I believe that Christ calls us all to engage in holy reconciliation, understanding, and compassion for those who sit in the pews with us, and those who stand outside our doors. God is calling us all to use our own unique gifts for unity and love of ALL God’s children.

The Rev. Stephanie Salinas has a Master of Divinity degree from New Brunswick Theological Seminary in New Brunswick, NJ. She has been pastor at FBC since August of 2002, and lives locally with her husband and two sons. Stephanie serves on local and statewide denomination committees, and is on the Board of Directors of the Maine Christian Association at the University of Maine. She enjoys preaching in a variety of formats, teaching, and pastoral counseling.
