FBC GROWTH COMMITTEE—Annual Meeting Report Sermons… Going Once, Going Twice, Sold!Warm Greetings to everyone in this Still Cooold month! Some of you may remember that last fall, at the Neighbors’ Auction, I “sold” two sermons. I auctioned off topics for two sermons, and was thrilled to see some generous and spirited bidding. These sermons will be preached in the month of March, and I want you to have all the details! The first sermon is scheduled for March 19th at 10:15 am. Peggy Sheriff purchased this sermon, and has requested a sermon on “Sunday Morning Saints, Monday Morning Sinners.” She has requested my reflections on how we can live our Christianity all week long, and not only for an hour on Sunday. The second sermon will be preached on March 26th, at 10:15. Sam Ogilvie bought this sermon, and is challenging me to preach on “The Victoria’s Secret Catalog.” Whew! Come and see your pastor blush her way through this one! I look forward to these challenges, and, as always, thank God for the opportunity to serve a church full of people who enjoy loving the Lord in so many fun ways. The youth choir will soon be scheduling some fund-raising performances of “God is in Control” at area churches; a decision on the actual musical has almost been made; and housing has been essentially taken care of. There is still lots of work to do. If you would like to help in any way, please contact Ned Salinas or Jim Dearing.
