First Baptist Church is blessed to provide musical opportunities for all ages with three choirs, a bell choir, and special instrumental ensembles. Find your musical place at First Baptist and lift your voice and instrument to God!

Junior Choir

The Junior Choir, grades K through 5, rehearses on Wednesdays from 6:15 to 6:45 pm. The Junior Choir participates regularly in Worship Service and other special events.  To promote VBS in summer 2004, the Junior Choir was invited to sing the theme song from "Under Construction! A Habitat for Humanity VBS" at Columbia St. Baptist Church.

FBC Youth Choir

The FBC Youth Choir, grades 6 through college age,  rehearses on Sundays from 11:30 am to 12:30. The FBC Youth Choir participates in Worship Service and special events.  Many choir members attend China Lake Music Camp during the summer. The FBC Youth Choir was invited to sing at the Bicentennial Celebratory Worship Service during the ABCOM Annual Session in 2004 and also participated in the combined youth choir during the Celebratory Service. The Choir was also invited to sing at the 2006 ABCOM Annual Session. The choir completed a tour through New Jersey and Pennsylvania in June 2007 and raised over $5500 for their mission project, Kupenda for the Children. 

Senior Choir

The Senior Choir rehearses on Wednesdays from 7 to 8:30 pm. The Senior Choir is open to all who are interested. The Choir participates in the Worship Service every week, providing choral anthems and other special music. The Senior Choir has presented Christmas or Holy Week cantatas almost every year.  During the summer, choir members also provide special music. Members of the Senior Choir participated in the combined adult choir at the Bicentennial Celebratory Worship Service during the ABCOM Annual Session in 2004.

Bell Choir

The Bell Choir rehearses on Mondays from 7 to 8 pm. The Bell Choir is open to all who are are interested. The Bell Choir participates in the Worship Service by providing their own anthems, accompanying the choirs, and providing introits and offertories. 

More Music . . .

From solos to instrumental ensembles, opportunities abound for special music. First Baptist is blessed with talented vocalists and instrumentalists who joyfully share their music. Strings, flutes, clarinets, trumpets, guitars and even the occasional mandolin and glockenspiel have enriched First Baptist with music. VBS, talent shows, sunrise services and church dinners are just some of the events where we share our music. Join us in making a joyful noise to the Lord!
